Updated: Jan 14
The Puez-Geisler Nature Park, established in 1977, a UNESCO World Heritage Site covers 10,200 hectares of a rocky plateau at the heart of the north-western Dolomites that includes the Odle and Puez mountain groups.
The park was expanded in 1999 by annexing the Rasciesa area.
The Puez-Geisler Nature Park is important from a geological point of view, as all the minerals, sediment strata and weathering forms typical for the Dolomites can be found in it.
